Zalgiris makes the 1-0 against Lietkabelis

With a great second half, Zalgiris Kaunas got past Lietkabelis and picked up a 1-0 series lead.

Zalgiris Kaunas blew out Lietkabelis 93-69 at home in Game 1 for the Lithuanian League semifinals.

The first half was close (37-36), as both teams went on mini-runs in the first and second period. In the third quarter, Sarunas Jasikevicius’ squad went on a 13-5 run to go up by nine points (50-41). With another 7-0 run in the final period, the hosts build a double-digit lead (71-57) and so Lietkabelis could not respond. The lead even grew to 20+ points (84-63) in the final minutes of the contest as Zalgiris outscored Letkabelis 29-12 in the fourth quarter.

Four players finished in double-figures for the winners, as Brandon Davies (14 pts), Edgaras Ulanovas (11 pts), Aaron White (13 pts) and Beno Udrih (10 pts) all scored 10+ points.

For the visitors, Žanis Peiners put up a game-high 22 points.
