North Carolina alumni and 58th pick of the 2015 NBA draft, JP Tokoto is nearing a deal to join Hapoel Tel Aviv, per Israel Hayom. He is expected to replace Jon Diebler.

Tokoto, 27, would be on for a third stint in Israel. He previously played for Hapoel Eilat during the 2018-19 season and finished last season with Ironi Nes Ziona. Further European experience stems from the start of the 2019-20 season and San Pablo Burgos.

Diebler, 32, joined the Reds in September, but through his first two Winner League appearances was held to 3.5 points per contest and also picked up a groin injury in the recent win versus Nes Ziona.
