Jusuf Nurkic tied his season-high on Thursday with 27 points and Enes Kanter certainly helped the Portland Trail Blazers overpower the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. “He was huge” the Bosnian center said commenting on his teammate’s debut with the Oregon organization.
Nurkic, 24, made 10/15 from the field and grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double, also had a highlight dunk in the first night of action following the All-Star Game. “We knew after the break we needed to come up and get a win on the road, start right and that’s what we did” he mentioned.
Newcomer Kanter played 20 minutes off the bench and scored 18 points returning to the Northwest Division. He was 8/9 from the field, also took down nine boards and added one steal to his tally.
