Luis Scola has been added to Varese’s roster for the upcoming season, as the team announced Wednesday.

The 40-year-old Argentinean player recently exited Olimpia Milano after spending the 2019-20 season with the club.

After 10 years in the NBA and two years in the Chinese Basketball Association, Scola made his EuroLeague return with Milano and posted an average of 9.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in 28 EuroLeague games.

Scola wants to stay in action and most probably complete his playing days in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.

That’s why he decided to sign with Varese and play only one game per week for the Italian Legabasket. His new club doesn’t take part in any continental competition of Europe.
