In total seven players of Baskonia scored in double digits, as coach Sito Alonso used a very short rotation.

With the game on the line and Barcelona leading 84-83, the coach of hosts, Giorgos Bartzokas, decided not to foul early in order to have the final possession. If Hanga had made his free throws, then Baskonia would probably had won and Bartzokas explained his decision: “It was a matter of instinct and I decided that it was better for us to play the defense and not foul”.
