Not long after EuroLeague’s proposal to FIBA for the modification of the new calendar, the Federation responded by offering a plan for an alternative schedule.

As reported by Sport24.gr, FIBA suggested to EuroLeague the following changes in order to solve the issue regarding two specific weeks of the following season that include games for the World Cup Qualifiers. One in late November and the other on February:

For EuroLeague to transfer all Thursday/Friday games into Tuesday and FIBA to put all weekly games (Thursday/Friday) to Friday.

According to the above suggestion, the dates would be set as followed:

Wednesday, November 22: Travel

Thursday, November 23: National team practices

Friday, November 24: World Cup Qualifiers

Sunday, November 26: World Cup Qualifiers
