Herbalife Gran Canaria hired Porfirio Fisac signing him to a two-year contract, the Spanish team announced on Wednesday shortly after Casademont Zaragoza confirmed his departure. The new head coach will guide the Las Palmas-based club in the 7DAYS EuroCup and the ACB.

Fisac spent the past couple of seasons at Zaragoza guiding his side higher in the Spanish league’s table and to Basketball Champions League success. His previous jobs include ACB stints with Gipuzkoa, Valladolid, and Fuenlabrada.

Taking over Gran Canaria, the successor of Fotis Katsikaris will be making his EuroCup debut and adding on his 268 head coaching appearances in the ACB.
