Olympiacos center Giorgos Bogris allegedly physically assaulted a journalist last night in a bar in Athens, Greece.
According to a post by journalist Sotiris Georgiou on his Facebook profile, he was “murderously assaulted with punches” by Bogris. Georgiou said he sustained contusions and abrasions as a result of the attack and that he’s shocked.
Georgiou described the incident on Facebook as follows: “I was having a drink and Bogris assaulted me with punches and threats, telling me “I will f–k you and finish you, you little c–t. He continued cursing me, saying that I’m waging war on himself and Olympiacos. His fury was so big that he continued threatening me outside of the establishment, while I was bloodied., and in the presence of two of his teammates who seemed unaware of what had happened.”
Olympiacos released the following announcement on the incident:
“In regards to the personal dispute between our player Giorgos Bogris and journalist Sotiris Georgiou, Olympiacos BC state that we explicitly condemn any form of violence. The incident is under investigation in accordance with the internal procedures of the team.”
